Brakes and What Every Car Owner Should Know
Here at RM Burritt Motors, Inc we think drivers in Oswego should be familiar with how the brakes on their vehicle work. Brakes have one of the most important jobs of any component on your car. Here are a few things to know.
Brakes consist of a group of parts, ranging in size from large to small. All of the parts work together on the braking system to apply the pressure needed to bring your car to a stop. Rotors, pads, and brake lines for carrying hydraulic fluid all play a role. When one part on your cars brakes fails, other parts could be affected.
Worn brakes can usually be detected by a grinding or growling noise that is heard when you press the brake pedal. You may also notice difficulty stopping. Never delay a necessary repair for your braking system. Doing so could put you and your family at risk of an accident.
